Jody Shelley Injured in Practice, Out 4 Weeks

Flyer's tough guy Jody Shelley took a puck to the eye in practice. He will undergo surgery on his left orbital bone and be sidelined at least 4 weeks. Andreas Nodl will likely fill in.

This is not a huge loss for Philadelphia as he wasn't expected to make the lineup come post season. However, Shelley is a great locker room presence and when he's away getting surgery he will be missed.

***Flyers will be facing Washington tonight in a 4 point swing game for the Conference lead.  The Flyers are 2 points ahead of the Caps right now, but with a win they will take a 4 point lead with 2 games in hand. Caps need a win to tie the Flyers for the lead.

No Ovechkin, Arnott or Pronger tonight.
