Big Entertainment Tonight

After last night's paltry offering from the NHL's schedule makers,  tonight will be much, much better. In total there are 20 teams (10 games) in play. Here are a list of the can't miss games.

1- Washington visits Philadelphia, 7:30- Between the Eastern Conference's top two teams, this game has the potential to swing the East to either side. This is a big momentum game for the Flyers as they look to prove they are out of  their recent slump. Washington looks to clinch a playoff berth with a win tonight. Despite injuries to Alex Ovechkin and Chris Pronger, this should still be a star-studded match up.

2- Edmonton visits Nashville, 8:00- Shea Weber is making a case for the Norris Trophy as he leads the Predators down the stretch. Nashville has been playing with a lot of excitement and passion the last few games. They are on a 3 game win streak but only 1 point in the playoffs. Edmonton won't roll over and with their wealth of young talent, they are always an exciting watch.

3- New Jersey visits Boston, 7:00- The Devils need to pretty much win out to make the playoffs, and with their run the second half of the year, they just might. Tonight will be a tough test against a Bruins team who is only 1 point up on the Canadiens for the division lead. There is a huge difference from 3rd place to 6th place (namely home ice advantage in that match up), and that is what is on the line for the Bruins. This is a game to watch if you like closely played defensive games. This will have old-school playoff atmosphere.

4- Buffalo visits Montreal, 7:30- Montreal can jump into 3rd place in the East with a win tonight and a loss for the Bruins. Montreal would greatly benefit from home ice in the playoffs, as they have the second best home record in the East. Buffalo is only holding onto 8th place by 3 points. The Sabres would feel better with a little more room between them and the 9th place Hurricanes. Also, a win with a Rangers loss would make 7th place only 1 point away.

The rest of the games- FLA v NYR @ 7, OTT v CAR @ 7, NYI v TBL @ 8, TOR v MIN @ 8, CBJ v COL @ 9, and STL v PHX @ 10.

ENJOY THE GAMES!
