Sam Page, a Nashville Predators blogger for SBNation and On The Forecheck, published a post about the ins-and-outs of passing yourself off as a "true" hockey insider. (Link at bottom).
The blog-o-sphere and Twitterverse has given rise to "mysterious" connected hockey bloggers who make their name "breaking" trades and posting rumors. Hockey fans seem split. Some believe these anonymous bloggers with vague credentials. Others don't believe but do not see the harm in these bloggers. Others disdain them for stirring up message boards and fans for made-up trade scenarios.
While I will leave you to form your own opinion, Page's blog post pokes fun at the many similarities of these hockey insiders.
