Flyers v. Devils 4/1/11

Puck drop at 7pm in the Prudential Center.

With the Devils out of the playoffs they look to play spoiler. They have had a rough patch lately but since the All Star break have been playing really good hockey. If they didn't have such an atrocious first half, they would easily be in the playoffs.

Zach Paris could potential be in the game, but it is a very small chance. And I would assume that Laviolette will use Bobrovsky again after another strong start last night against Atlanta. Although it's a back to back game, Bob got a rest a few days ago and should be fine. However, Laviolette is always good for a surprise so who knows, Boucher may be in between the pipes.

This is a big game for the Flyers forwards to finally step it up and start acting like the playoffs are just around the corner. With the defense and now goalie getting in a rhythm the forwards corps need to also. I want to look towards the Captain to start this transition of sorts, but lately he has been shaky at best. I think Giroux or Briere get the spark going with an outside chance for JVR. It really only takes one shot, one goal to get the whole offense clicking. After being shutout, they will need a fast one before they starting doubting themselves and studying their sticks.

My vote is 3-1 Flyers, and the Flyers play a consistent (though still not 100%) game.
