From Flyers' Twitter page:
#Flyers have signed (F) Matt Read to a contract beginning in 2011-12. Read just finished his senior season at Bemidji State University.
Matt Read was born in 1986 (turns 25 in June) and is listed at 5'10" and 185 pounds.
He looks to be a depth AHL-er. Without draft picks, this is the best way to restock the farm.
Hopefully he will be more than that.
