Islanders Fire Coach

New York Islanders fire coach Scott Gordon after a 4-10-3 start, losing ten straight games (only 1 in overtime). Jack Capuano, head coach of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (the AHL affiliate to the Islanders) has been named interim head coach. Scott Gordon will remain with the organization as an adviser to GM Garth Snow.
