Flyers vs Rangers Preview 11/4

[caption id="attachment_80" align="alignleft" width="215" caption="Bobrovsky and the Flyers will take on the Rangers tonight at 7 PM"]Sergei Bobrovsky[/caption]

This is the first meeting between these two teams since the infamous shootout on the last day of the season last year that saw the Flyers grab the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference Playoffs and sent the Rangers to the golf course. The Rangers (6-4-1) will have no easy task this time around either, as the Flyers (7-4-1) are currently riding a 4 game winning streak and have looked very impressive in doing so. The Rangers are coming off a win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, beating them 3-2. Ryan Callahan had two assists in that game, extending his point streak to 7. Henrik Lundqvist will be in net for the Rangers which is no surprise. Lundqvist is 14-7-3 against the Flyers with a 2.79 GAA and 2 shutouts in his career. For the Flyers, rookie goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky will be making his fifth consecutive appearance, going 4-0 in his last five games. Bobrovsky has a .918 Sv% and a 2.39 GAA in 8 games this season. Claude Giroux seems to have carried his post-season performance into this year, leading the Flyers in goals (7) and points (12). Jeff Carter is not far behind, registering 6 g-5a-11pts in the first 12 games. Danny Briere will not be in the lineup, serving his second of a three-game suspension for an incident that occurred against the Islanders on 10/30. The Atlantic Division lead is on the line tonight so expect this to be a classic Rangers Flyers match-up. Game starts at 7:00 PM ET airing on RIS, MSG (HD), and CSN-PH (HD), I wouldn't want to miss this one.
